Fine Art Print: Before and After

If there is one thing this semester has taught me, there is power within a few simple edits. Yes, you want to use your camera skills and settings to capture the natural beauty of things around you, and you need to use your creative intuition to get the best angles, shots, and subjects. But sometimes, there is only so much your camera can do. Your eyes see more detail than your camera, so you need to use this to your advantage while editing to get the colors, sharpness, and other features just right.

After Edits:

While I love the first picture, the second picture just seems to have more life in it. They promote different vibes. The edited picture is more vivid, bright, and crisp, which dulls the first picture in comparison. We brought out the natural reds, greens, and golds for the edits and sharpened a few key areas. We also removed some of the distracting dust specks while keeping most of them to maintain the original story of the piano. I’m so happy with how it turned out!

I ordered the edited version as a 16X20 Walmart Poster Print, and it is currently hanging in the Jacob Spori Building on campus.
