Strange Conversations is a book that I wrote and edited myself, with the help of my Editing Essentials class, in fall of 2019.  This book is based on one of my passions; Sketch Comedy. It’s a silly little 10 chapter book about principles of comedy that you can (hopefully) apply to situations of your life. I wrote this book in 10 weeks with a rigorous 4 week editing process after. During this time, I self-edited my book, and passed it along to other members in my class to look at.

Publishing A book

After writing and editing, Strange Conversations was published. It is sold as an eBook, exclusively on Amazon. I used the program “Kindle Create” for formatting and “Kindle Direct Publishing” to publish the book to Amazon.

Designing a cover

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_divider show_divider=”off” _builder_version=”3.2″ max_width=”23px” module_alignment=”left” animation_style=”slide” animation_intensity_slide=”20%” animation_starting_opacity=”100%” locked=”off”][/et_pb_divider][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.27.4″ text_font=”||||||||” text_font_size=”16px” text_line_height=”1.8em” header_font=”||||||||” max_width=”90%” custom_margin=”|||” custom_padding=”||93px|||” animation_style=”flip” animation_direction=”left” animation_intensity_flip=”30%” animation_starting_opacity=”100%”]

Along with writing and editing, I also designed the cover for the book. Using royalty-free images from “Unsplash”, and basic Adobe Illustrator shapes and typography, I created an awkward book cover to match the contents of my humorous book.
